Community Support in Edmonton: Partnering with The Shoebox Project for Women

At Two Men and a Truck Edmonton, we believe being a trusted Edmonton moving company also means being an active and responsible member of the community we serve. That’s why we are proud to support local initiatives that create real impact - including our partnership with the Shoebox Project for Women - Edmonton Chapter.

Supporting Women’s Charities in Edmonton

The Shoebox Project for Women is a respected Canadian charity focused on supporting women experiencing homelessness or insecurity. Through its annual Season of Giving, the Edmonton chapter mobilizes volunteers and local businesses to deliver personalized, gift-filled shoeboxes to women across the city.

During the 2nd Annual Season of Giving, community members came together to support 280 underprivileged women in Edmonton, providing thoughtfully curated shoeboxes filled with essential items, small comforts, and personal touches that restore dignity and hope during the holiday season.

How We Contributed as a Local Edmonton Business

As part of our ongoing commitment to community support in Edmonton, our team donated time and transportation services to assist with the distribution of shoeboxes before Christmas. Reliable logistics play a critical role in the success of charitable initiatives, and we were honoured to help ensure these gifts reached local women on time.

Supporting women’s charities in Edmonton aligns closely with our values as a locally operated moving company. We see firsthand how strong communities are built when local organizations, volunteers, and businesses work together.

Movers for Moms® – Giving Back This Mother’s Day

TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® Edmonton Wraps Up Successful Movers for Moms® 2025 Campaign

This past spring, TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® Edmonton proudly participated in the annual Movers for Moms® 2025 campaign – an initiative aimed at supporting mothers in need, particularly those residing in shelters due to domestic violence, homelessness, or financial hardship.

We are thrilled to announce that, with the incredible support of our community, we collected and donated over 1,250 essential items to WEAC (Women’s Emergency Accommodation Centre) in Edmonton. Donations included much-needed toiletries and personal care products, clothing and undergarments, and baby essentials – all delivered in time for Mother's Day to help bring comfort and dignity to women in crisis.

Movers for Moms® is a national campaign that aligns with our core values of care, compassion, and community impact. We’re honored to do our part locally in Edmonton and help provide relief and hope to mothers going through challenging times.

A heartfelt thank you to all our partners, customers, and community members who donated so generously. Your contributions made this campaign a success and helped remind these women that they are seen, supported, and valued.

Truckload of Warmth – Supporting Hope Mission This Winter!

Each winter, our team at TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® Edmonton looks for meaningful ways to support families and individuals in our community. This year, we’re proud to partner with Hope Mission, a long-standing community organization supporting individuals and families across Edmonton.

From November 1 to December 19, we’ll be collecting new and gently used winter essentials to help keep our neighbours warm throughout the colder months. All items gathered through the Truckload of Warmth campaign will be delivered directly to Hope Mission’s warehouse at 7011 Girard Road, where they’ll be sorted and distributed to individuals and families who need them most - especially during the winter and Christmas season.

Whether it’s a warm coat, gloves, a blanket, or everyday personal-care items, every donation makes a real difference. We invite community members, local businesses, schools, and families to participate by dropping off items at any of our designated collection sites:
