Giving Back to Our Community
Giving back to the Niagara community is very important to our team at Two Men and a Truck Niagara. The community gave us our home and our employees, so we love every opportunity to give back to St Catharines, Niagara Falls, Niagara-on-the-Lake, Grimsby, Beamsville, Jordan Station, Vineland, and surrounding areas.
We have sponsored and supported sports teams, women’s shelters, foodbanks, and charities including Grimsby Benevolent Fund in Grimsby, Gillian’s Place in Beamsville, YWCA in St Catharines and Niagara Falls, and the Red Roof Retreat in Niagara-on-the-Lake.
TWO MEN AND A TRUCK Campaigns
The Mikey Network & Mikey on Board
The Mikey Network works to promote Heart-Health and to place as many AEDs (which they call MIKEYs) as possible in public spaces. We've partnered with The Mikey Network to equip all of our moving trucks and customer service vehicles with MIKEY defibrillators, and all TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® St. Catharines & Niagara employees have been trained to use a MIKEY AED. Now, when you see a TWO MEN AND A TRUCK St. Catharines & Niagara moving truck, it doesn’t just mean someone is moving in or out of the neighbourhood, it means there’s help close by in case of a cardiac emergency.
YWCA defibrillator donation
TWO MEN AND A TRUCK Niagara Region donated six life-saving MIKEY AEDs valued at $12,000, to the YWCA Niagara Region. Our work with The Mikey Network has taught us how important it is to have AEDs available in public spaces like the YWCA, and we're so happy to be able to help our community in this way. We think the YWCA's Franziska Emslie put it best when she said, "As much as we hope we'll never need [them], if we ever do need [them], it'll be the difference between life and death."

Grimsby Benevolent FUND (GBF)
In the last few years especially in 2020, have been particularly hard on many families in our community so it's more important than ever to support GBF Community Services. In addition to helping families that are food insecure, they assist with housing, health, and provide youth programs. We aid in food and gift collection as well as delivery of food items from the Santa Claus Parade.
In addition to food drives, we have held gift drives so families that are struggling financially can still have presents for their kids and experience some joy for the Christmas holiday season.
