Supporting Our Windsor-Sarnia Community
Giving back is one of the Core Values here at TWO MEN AND A TRUCK and we support our local Windsor and Sarnia communities in a number of ways.
We just concluded the 2023 Windsor Home & Garden Show in Windsor, ON! The exhibition was a ton of fun and we shared a ton of information about TWO MEN AND A TRUCK.
TWO MEN AND A TRUCK Windsor brought holiday cheer to the streets during the 2024 Windsor Santa Claus Parade! Our team joined the festive celebration, waving to families and spreading joy throughout the community. The magical atmosphere, twinkling lights, and smiling faces made it a memorable evening of connection with our Windsor neighbours. We're proud to be part of such cherished community traditions that make our city special.
The Mikey Network is a charity that promotes heart healthy lifestyles, and places Automatic External Defibrillators (AEDs) in as may public places as possible. We are proud to participate in their Mikey On Board program. With this program, every TWO MEN AND A TRUCK Windsor-Sarnia moving truck and customer service vehicle has a MIKEY AED on board and all of our movers, drivers, and staff, have been trained to use a MIKEY AED.
We hope these defibrillators never have to be used, but since our moving trucks are traveling throughout our community every day, we are glad to have these life saving devices moving throughout the community with them.
On the Grand Opening of the TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® Windsor-Sarnia on June 8, 2022, the Street Help Homeless Center, Windsor was identified as the preferred Charity for food donations to feed hundreds of homeless people in line with our core values of giving back to our community. Speaking at the event, A Board Member, Anthony Nelson expressed gratitude at the donation expressing how this kind gesture will help with feeding more people in need of food – a basic need that hundreds of people are unable to meet daily in our community.
Street Help Homeless Center of Windsor feeds 450 people three times daily and that’s a lot of food! TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® Windsor-Sarnia donated boxes of assorted canned food items, drinks and snacks to help feed the hungry and homeless in our community. A charity initiative we intend to make a yearly charity event within our community.
The COVID-19 pandemic has changed the world and our way of life as we all remember it. The situation is worse for our little ones who have gone back to school, learning to adjust to these new ways of learning with the clear barricades, individual play areas, masks, and virtual hugs becoming the new normal. With water fountains unavailable, individual water bottles are now a necessity. TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® Windsor-Sarnia saw the need as the Movers Who Care® and decided to gift individually packed, 225 paraben-free water bottles to the students at King Edward Public School, in Windsor on Friday, September 25, 2020.
The Water Bottle Project, also known as "No water fountain, No problem!" was brought to us by our CSR, Samantha, whose friend teaches at the school. We saw this initiative as a laudable cause. Water is essential to life and these students need to stay hydrated at all times as they learn and play despite the pandemic. The safety of these children is our utmost concern and Giving Back to the Community is a core value we live by at TWO MEN AND A TRUCK®.
